Finally figured it out! (wireless router problem)
I've cycled through three different wireless routers at my house because of reception/range problems. All this time I thought it was the routers that were causing the problems. I tried moving them to different spots and etc. The routers would periodically disconnect and I would lose my connection for a few seconds to minutes. Well I finally figured out the problem.
I have a Viewsonic and Airlink wirless router, and today I started messing with the admin panel in Airlink. So setting the frequency from 2.432 to 2.462 Ghz made all difference. The signal is stronger and longer!! Now I can go across the street from my house and it still works great. The chances are that wireless phones might share the same frequency as your router which causes distortion of the signal.
So just wanted to let everyone know about something that I've been battling with for 4 years was just solved in matters of seconds. :D Maybe this will work for you too. It might be common sense to some but this really plagued me for a while.
