Ok my computer says my ram slot is for DDR2 PC2-5300 but if i get a ram chip thats DDR2 pc2-5400, would it work, and also if my ram chips are different brands will it still work, thanks in advance =]

im pretty sure that as long as its ddr2 itll work fine.

Isnt there two types with different pins ?

yeah 184 pin and 240 pin. If its 184, its DDR. If its 240 pin, its DDR2

PS: If both RAM's are different speeds, the fast one will be underclocked to match the speed of the slow one.

you should not have a problem as long as its still ddr2
