Default Video memory question

I might have asked this before but before I spend $100 on a vid card I just want to make sure this DDR2 card will work with my PC, the other stats are fine, not sure is DDR2 will work. I really don't want to have trouble returning it in case it is incompatible. Thanks everyone for answering my previous questions, you have all been a great help. http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...4400/specs.htm

DDR2 memory on a video card doesnt matter, thats just the type of video memory. Its the interface of the graphics card thats important

You may need a new power supply.... 250 watts aren't that much.

Yep, the EVGA website says AT LEAST 350 watts.

yeah I noticed... Is there a way to increase it to 300 without buying a power supply?

So performance won't do as good with a lower power supply or does it just power the fan to cool it?

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Works great!

Pros: Great price, and as many others have said, it breathes new life into my older AGP system.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Installed this in my Dell Dimension 4600 to replace a GeForce FX5200. What a difference! Although the card recommends a 350 watt PSU I did some research on the Dell Forums and many others have installed this card in the Dimension 4600 with 250W stock PSU and have not had a problem. I'm hoping it stays that way!

still not good for your computer, because even though a PSU can go over its wattage, it cant do it stable for very long
unstable watt = bad

I guess so, so even new power supplies will support connections for older motherboards, cpu, disk drives?

Oh and one last thing: I assume this should do nicely with my PC, correct me if I'm wrong. Since this is my PC's last upgrade 350w is enough.
