I've been on vista for awhile now but every now and then i get the urge to dual boot with xp. so i was think today seeing as i have limited hdd room would i be able to format my hdd into 3 partitions have one with vista, one with xp, and the other with all my programs and files. that way i could run apps from vista or xp without having to have the same app twice. I realize that some apps write to the reg, to get around that could i install the apps on vista and xp but install the main files on top of each other, that way i would have the reg values on both xp and vista but only have the main files once.
Thank for any light you can shed on the situation.

theres a guide posted on here (or rather a link to a guide)
use teh search function if its not stickied on a side note, for some games you can copy the reg files over without reinstalling the game, but other games (like Halo PC),dosent work like that |
