Default DVD Driver Error

I have a labtop and for some reason for a while now it hasn't been reading my DVD's, so I go over to My COmputer and when I look at where the DVD Driver is suppose to be, it says CD Drive (D:) instead of DVD-CD Drive (D:) whats wrong and how can I fix it.
