Default Upgrading to Windows XP Professional x64

Yeah, i recently got another 4 gigs of ram to make a total of 6 gigs (i know, way too much :]) but of course to use all of it i need to upgrade to a 64 bit version of xp to support all the ram.i have read plenty about the good and th bad to x64 i just want to know if there are any personal warnings or things i should know before hand... do you think i should just go to 64 bit vista? i know the main prob with most vista users is the ram, it runs fine on 2 gigs but with 6 i should be more than good. Would that be best?

Just gimme some ideas, anything is useful and appreciated in this thread.

Go to Vista. Since I got my laptop which runs it perfectly, I have seen it in a different light. It's actually really nice and with 6GB of RAM, you'll have no problems.

I know a kid that has some compatibility issues with vista. They are minor ones but still isssues. IHMO vista=weak now (Pre SP1). here are my feelings on xppro64 from what i hear it's CRAZY fast but has some strange litttle problems 32 bit doesn't. i think that unless you aren't trying to save a six gig game into ram you only need 3 or four i even have 2 and i'm fine. one last thing xp sp3 comes out along with vista sp1 so you will get some new features. I would stick with xp32 but i will say that xp64 is still better than vista (imho). if you do get vista get business or ultimate.
