In the new beta firefox i hate the new "smarter" address bar, its big and chunky and looks ugly. How can i get rid of it?

Go back to 2.0.0.11.

Beta is faster for me....so i want to stay on it, just help me get rid of the smarter address bar

Type about:config in the address bar and hit enter
In the filter box type browser.urlbar.richResult s and hit enter
Then double click so the Value is False and restart...voila, took a while to find it, the new about:config is much richer than the old one

It looks about the same to me.

I knew it had to be some obscure about:config code.

I like the new address bar and for me the BETA is definitely faster.

Hmmmm, I realize I was rude to tave in my earlier post and am sorry.
I am now on 3.0b3 and am trying to get rid of that chunky address bar but "browser.urlbar.richResul ts" isn't there. MaxRichResults is... And flipping hell it's spell checking everything I write!

Make it a Boolean value

does browser.urlbar.richResult s remove the new search algorithm thing, or is it the huge multilined look of the drop down?
