Default Good range wireless card?
I just moved to my dad's apartment to be closer to school and he doesn't have internet. The building is damn near next door to a mcdonalds (very convinient) And they have unencrypted wi-fi there. I already have a wireless card but it just doesn't reach. I was thinking of just getting a higher range antenna, but the card was pretty cheap so I fear that'll be an issue. Any suggestions?

I'd go with a Netgear or Belkin, they're always pretty good.
I don't know a specific model, sorry.

a larger antenna would work fine i believe. my wireless card was 8 bucks from newegg, and it picks up wifi at least 6 houses up the road,
