Default RAM and formatting questions.

Hi all, I've got an old PC and was wondering whether I could use different RAM with it than what its currently using. The PC is roughly 4 and a half years old, so finding the required memory is hard (and expencive to buy), so I was wondering what I could use? I desperately need to upgrade it as one of the modules was faulty and had to be removed, but its now realllly slow.

My RAM specs are DDR, 133MHz, PC2700, so what other types could I use (if any)?

Also, I want to install Linux on my PC, but unfortunatly when I got it I formatted it into NTFS, which my Linux disc cannot partition, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any software which could do this and is safe to use? I could just search on Google, but I don't want to risk getting some dodgy software, so if anyone here has any experiances with this, I'd apprechiate it if you could let me know what you use.

Thanks to anyone who replies.
-Aura
