Default Triple Boot question.

K, I have Vista Ultimate/XP on this laptop, If I run a patched version (AMD compatable) of the MAC tiger install but DON'T format it.. This will give me tripleboot right ?

You would have to partition the harddrive and *I think* install a bootloader similar to grub as I don't think MAC will show the XP and Vista on a boot list.

I want to install the MAC ontop of Vista/XP

So I have a boot menu..

Something like:

Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows XP Home
Mac OS X xxxx


Possible ?

It is possible, but as JoeDaStudd has said, you will need to install a bootloader similar to grub as the MacOSX bootloader will not recognise the Windows partitions.

I thought that to run mac and windows simultaneously u needed two hdds?

Nope, I found this "Acronis Disk directir suite 10"

It's splits/merges/partitions without needing to format..

It also has a BOOT LOADER!!

Ima get quad boot with Linux then Im GOOD!

Why would you want Mac and Linux? They're both Unix based, only Linux will actually be legal. You're never going to use all four OS's, I can guarentee that.

I suggest you get a liveCD of a linux disto and use gparted and GRUB. I once had OS X on my PC I uninstalled it the next day. It's just not for me. Good luck.

I know you're capable of that. But if you split your time between 4 OS's, you would spend more time rebooting than actual computing. (I'm a poet and I didn't even know it)
