I'm trying to set up a microphone (a headset microphone), but I'm having trouble. In Windows, the microphone is recognized, and you can see that it is getting my voice:

Mobo: EVGA 650i Ultra. I've tried unplugging it, restarting my system...The thing is, My mobo comes with these special audio drivers, and when it installs them, it installs this program for audio use, such as choosing how to make the sound output (ex: room, corridor, arena, etc...) and in the program, whenever I plugged in the mic, it would recognize it and ask me to verify stuff, etc...That was in XP. In Vista, it recognizes my audio device automatically, and when I go to install the audio package, it says there is no package supported. I'm thinking that maybe I might need this for it to work, but I'm not sure.
