Well I have looked around my house, asked friends and family but the only thing I have is windows vista and windows xp sp1. I really need to get a copy of sp2 so where is the cheapest place to buy an sp2 disk? And about how much will it cost?

By the way, I need a genuine copy, and therefore slipstreaming sp2 into my sp1 disk will not work.

I don't want to run the risk of paying £5 to some guy who sends me a burnt disk in the hope I won't recognise. I will look though.

Can't you just install SP1 and then update to SP2?

Exactly, sp2 is like the second update i get when installing xp.

How would it even matter if you have a valid key?

If you bought a copy of XP and got a legitimate key, any kind of copy will work. Even I have downloaded a copy of XP, since HP decided they don't want to provide a disc to people who bought the OS with their PC unless they fork over an extra $40 to them.

Well it is for boot camp. From what I have read of other people trying to use a downloaded copy of winxp sp2, it doesn't work, hence my need for a genuine copy.

Its called OEM, thats the cheapest legal way to obtain it.
