Couple of questions
I was thinking about getting this hard drive, but I'm not sure it comes with all the things I need to install it eg. screws?
Is there any good graphics cards coming out around the back end of the year for £100 ($198-ish) or should I just get the 8800GT, 8800GTS or 9600GT?
oem hard drives are purely just the hard drive which means no cables, no screws nothing but the hard drive.
um im not up to date on new graphics cards but i know the 9800s and that new like 260 just came out so i dont expect anythings new to come that soon although there was a thread about directx11 which would mean new cards aswell as if you wait prices on cards will always go down.
As for those 3, if you are looking at all g92 chipsets then the 9600 < 8800gt < 8800 gts
although as you get better the price goes up. I would reccommend the 9600 for price and sliablitiy, 2 of em is supposed to out perform the 8800 ultra, but the 8800 gt for good price and more power... If you have the money you can spring for a gts...
just saw that, looks decent if you can find it...
I think I saw a rumor somewhere about nvidia launching something really really big, I don't know when, maybe sometime this year. This is supposed to be as big as the launch of SLI...but it's just a rumor.
I hate to say this, but if you're looking for cheap and powerful, look at the ATI 4850/4870...But i'd still go for nvidia because you never know what they have up their sleeve. The 9800GTX+ is a really good card, and its 55nm.
As for the hard drive thing try and find a retail one, or maybe your pc came with screws or something?
I am looking for a 250GB one from either Scan.co.uk or ebuyer.com.
this should work although it doesn't say what it comes with so...?
at least it doesn't say oem
after looking at both sites i would have to say they are both fail, ebuyer only sells oem and the other doesn't say if it is retail or oem
i would buy at a store if you will only buy from those 2 sites
