Messed up big time.
Ok, I had XP installed on my PC. I wanted to try out Vista, so I made a new partition and installed it there (I couldn't do the express installation since they're differents languages).
Afriend of mine told me he had a portuguese copy of vista ultimate. I decided to format the new partition, but for some reason it got f**ked up. Windows encountered an error. The partition is empty but I can't format it to NTFS or FAT32 or anything (no matter what program I use) Ubuntu and GParted see no partition, just "Unlocated space" (which is the whole hard drive) I cannot do anything with this partition or add the free space to other. I've tried thousands of partition tools, none of them works. XP works fine (I'll install Vista soon). Any solution? I really don't want to lose any data (I have no extarnal HD :'( ).
I can't think of anything. Thanks.
PS:I think it has something to do with MBR, but I've tried to restore it and still does the same.
OH and partition magic simply crashes o.0
Take a screen shot of this window for me:
Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management
im sure there are better solutions, but would it be impossible for you just to format everything and create the partitions you want with gparted from scratch?
