Should be, but it depends on what other components you are using. If you are using a something like a Q6600 and a lot of RAM, I would use at least a 500W PSU, if not more.
EDIT: I see you have your specs in your signature. You should be able to use a 450W PSU (seeing as that is the minimum recommendation by ATI for using that card), but the life of the PSU might be lessened. |

It also depends what kind of 450w psu you have. I used to not listen to people who told me that I needed a good quality psu, so I kept my 500w that came with my case...and then it died on my. Luckily none of my hardware was damaged.
And I agree with eldiablo, if you're getting a new psu get at least a 750w. I would recommend a Corsair or PC Power & Cooling psu. Oh and one more thing, check how many amps the 4850 needs on the +12v rail, and check how much your current psu has (you should be able to find it somewhere on the psu itself). And if you're going to buy a new psu also take the +12v rail into consideration. |
