Ok so my computer was ****ed up yesterday i had left it on for like 5 days for downlading a huge file and then i tried to go yesterday and it wont boot it got to a point where it frooze on the xp loading screen saying something was installed and it was causing a problem.
I have been designing a website for over a month now and the day i get it finished the computer messes up ![]() Now i have tried to repair the XP by using the disk but i have no success Also i do have the original disk of my Vista but i lost it lol thats why i am downloading a back-up back home.Would the vista work if i tried to install after a format? Also please someone tell me theres a way to back-up my files even if its just the website the movies and music i don't care about. Thanks for the help ![]() Note safe mode doesn't work it just loads the files and reeboots

Get on another computer, download a Linux LiveCD (like Ubuntu or Knoppix or, best option, RecoveryIsPossible Linux), get an external hard drive, and try whatever you can to get the data back. Just don't WRITE to the disk.

Just connect it to another PC with either IDE or SATA cables. Be sure to set it to slave. |

Either way, you can use a boot disk you would have to download and burn or use a USB drive as said earlier to recover information from that hard disk, but yes, you can connect it with SATA or IDE cables to another PC. |
