this problem is on my new Dell Mini laptop,it has an internal 16gig SSD and a 16 gig SD card
yesterday, fooling around,I redirected the My Documents folder to the SD card to save space on the SSD,and Im thinking its a possibility that Windows XP is still reading that data as if its on the SSD,but its not. Basically, heres the info SSD- Total drive space- 14.3 gigs Total Used space displayed by windows- 7.30 Total used if I select all the files on the SSD- 5.09 Size of the My Documents on the SD card- 1.18 so it seems to me,that the files on the SSD and the My Documents folder on the SD card equal about the size of the SSD displayed in Windows. I disabled the page file (2 gigs of RAM),so could there be something else hidden that uses that much space? I didnt seem to notice a difference in free space after I did the redirect and XP moved the files... So the question is,why is XP showing the space of the My documents folder if its not on the SSD? |
