Default bios for asus P5LP-LE mobo

I'm wondering if there is a different bios dos that I can flash onto my mobo.

I have a ASUS P5LP-LE mobo from an HP Pavillion. ALthough i don't have any thing but the origional harddrive and the MOBO from the HPpavillion.

Can you do that? Not any dos can be compatable, oh yeah. I can't run windows either...

Any thoughts?

I have a backup of the origional BIOS but I wanted to use a new one, the one I had I didn't like.... Phoenix something or another I think it is.

I don't like the bios that Asus recommends (or requires).

My question is if I have to use Asus bios or can I find another one that they don't have on the website.

But, it's not a big deal anymore.

Maybe someday I'll continue this, but I got too busy.
