need help with modem and wireless router

hey guys i have a small problem
i reset my wireless router yesterday and now i dont have internet.
i know what i need done i just dont know exactly how to do it.

what i have right now is the wall, to my modem, to my computer. what i need is my wall to my modem, to the wireless router, to the computer.

i need the wireless router set up as a server and the modem as a link. i have connection (obviously lol) with the wall to modem to computer setup, and it i NEED to i can call AT&T for help i just do not want to wait for an hour on hold. sooo if you can help please tell

i am running XP
with a seimen modem
and a D-Link wireless router

for me all this stuff works just by restarting the modem, the only help I could offer would be to plug everything back in and then restart the modem by unplugging the power and plugging it back in. sorry if that doesn't work for you.

oh yea i need to have the modem setup the router as a server if that means anything

it makes no sense. the router is a router... not a server.
