I need help picking an external harddrive, there are a lot of brands out there and it's really confusing which ones the best value for money. I need one which is good all round, lasts long, fast and not noisy (there a lot of noisy ones out there). It 100-150gb (or more).

id go with seagate or maxtor, dont know why, bu tthere hard drives never seem to crap out on me. i have no real experience with external HDD's but ive used them a bit. so the noise thing i really couldnt tell you.
