about 2 weeks ago i installed windows vista ultimate to my desktop...

it was working fine for a few days...

then all of the sudden it keeps giving me an error saying:

"The specified service does not exist as an installed service."

i tried almost every solution that i can think of

i tried to open the regedit.exe as and adminstrator it just gave me the same error....

i do not know what to do anymore...

(except formatting the whole desktop but i don't want to go there)

HELP!!!!

This error happens with a few different things, and because it's hard to pin-point the exact fault, it'll be easier doing a System Restore or maybe even pop the Vista disc in and perform a recovery.
