Default I need some help here...

My father just got a new computer. This computer is going downstairs. He is giving me his old eMachines computer for my room upstairs. The computer he got has a built in wireless router. I have a wireless router for the eMachines computer. We have cable and a modem for the downstair new computer.

Now, how do I use the eMachines computer upstairs and get internet access using the wireless router to connect to the modem downstairs?

Surely if the modem and router are wireless then you go into the windows control panel and set up a wireless connection.

His new computer has a built in wireless router? are you sure you dont mean a wireless card in his computer? Just put the modem and wireless router by his computer, then set up the wireless connection on your computer
