Bootable USB help
I have a 2gigabyte Sandisk pendrive that I want to make bootable with Xubuntu. I have tried the installer at pendrivelinux.com, the USB maker in Ubuntu, and UNbootin or something like that, but it still won't boot from the flashdrive. I have tried to boot it on several different computers and all of them allow booting from usb so I know it's not the computer. Can someone help me?
First off, I think it has something to do with your BIOS settings.
If this is the case, try looking through your BIOS settings.
1. When you turn your computer on, it should say something about a system setup or something (and next to it, sould be something like "F#" where # is the number that appears) when the BIOS is loading. this is when you see the manufacturers logo.
2. Enter the setup and look for device boot order and move USB to the top of the list, and just in case, keep CD/DVD 2nd.
Sorry if I'm not specific enough, I don't know what BIOS your computer uses.
I hope this helps in anyway :D
I finaly got it to work, but thanks for answering.
