Lightbulb Need Help

I've been looking for a new laptop to replace my current 7lbs compaq which it way to heavy.
I'm looking for a laptop thats a 1000 dollars or less and is less than 5lbs but with exceptions like 5.4lbs would be ok.
Here are my basic requirements:

Mobile AMD Sempron 3000+ or any chip that it at least 1.8Ghz
Cd Burner
80 GB Hard Drive
Memory 512MB DDR
Under 5.5lbs.
Graphics card doesn't really matter much

What do you guys think of:
This Averatec and this Compaq

Any thoughts
thanks

If any ones looking for a use but great condition laptop i will sell mine for $600 or less its a Compaq r3306us. Sorry if its not allowed to advertise i'll edit if its so. Thanks

tigerdirect.com usually has decent deals on refurbished laptops for under $1000. I've been tempted a couple times to get one. They're fully waranteed and generally pretty good deals.

Whats better
this:
Compaq v2000z:
AMD Turion(TM) 64 ML-37 (2.0GHz/1MB L2 Cache)
14.0 WXGA BrightView Widescreen
ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/productivity ports
80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
512MB DDR SDRAM (1x512MB)
DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive

Or

Compaq v2000:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor 750 (1.86 GHz)
14.0 WXGA BrightView Widescreen
Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 900 - Pentium
80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
512MB DDR SDRAM (1x512MB)
DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive

Do you know if the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 900 - Pentium has the same ports as ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/productivity ports?
Should I go down to 60GB instead of 80GB its $50 more? I have a 60GB now and I dual boot linux and windows and have around 15GB free.

I don't know much about AMD chips, but the AMD laptop seems better. I think the ATI card is better than the Intel one as well. Since everything else seems the same I'd go with the AMD laptop. And get the 80gb. You'll regret it later if you don't.

Definitely the AMD. 64-Bit chips are better than 32-bit chips. Anyway, AMD's as better than Intel's most of the time. (Very few exceptions). Trust me. I have had all AMD's except one Intel. AMD's are better. Go for that.

I also have amd chips in all my computers and i like amd over intel any day but i think centrino gives me twice as much battery life and the 1.8 got the same or better test results as the amd turion. As this review says http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2455
