How does your PC keep time when it's off??? PC's have battery's in them that keep little info like that... I'm sure there is something that could do this... I just don't know of it...

Well if your hardware supports it, there is an option like WoL (Wake on Lan). It'll boot your PC over the Lan as the word describes.

Actually there is the other way around which "turns-off" your PC in a certain time. But don't know if it could do the other way around. Probably the best way would be keep it at stand-by mode all the time.

The one on how it will keep time, would be the BIOS, like every M/B will have a button battery, which will keep small things, but don't think it will be possible to access to the BIOS from the user-side on OS, unless, you're flashing it to another version or so.
