Possible.
Well for me, am a hardware engineer. (doing such at work) For normal people, probably not. Mostlikely the L/T CPUs are bonded onto the M/B so, you'll have to use low temp bonding/glueing (forgot how to say it in Eng) thingy to, several hundread pins. Once thats done, if your changing to a CPU with a different FSB, then got to analize the board itself since mostlikely you won't find Jumpers/switches etc on the L/T M/B. If you have skills and knowledge on boards/bondings try it. Else don't bother opening your L/T up. or If you have a DIY L/T (eg: Gigabyte / ASUS Laptops), then you can. If you have a retail L/T (eg: Sony / IBM / Toshiba / whatever), probably can't without skills. Hope this helps.
