Hey!

I have sony vegas and Ive had it awhile but now ive changed the time on my PC (it was incorrect for a LONG time) sony vegas doesn't work, it displays this message: "Your computers date setting seems to be incorrect. It is either set to the wrong date now, or was set to the wrong date when you installed this software" and then the app exits

Any suggestions?

What OS are you running? And what application are you attempting to use that you get this error?

Thanks for the reply, I am using Windows XP and when I go into
"All Programs>Sony>Vegas 6.0>Vegas 6.0.exe"
it gives the error!

Please help!

Try changing the time in the BIOS insted of the OS.

I have no idea what that app does. However, you said the error was:

"Your computers date setting seems to be incorrect. It is either set to the wrong date now, or was set to the wrong date when you installed this software"

I would suggest setting the system time and date in Windows to the correct time/date, and then reinstall the application. Or if you're lucky, go to the control panel, add/remove programs and see if there's a "reinstall" option for that app.
