I'm using Windows XP and recently every time I try to log on to my name I get this error saying that a registry file was not in the correct format, then it just loads up the computers default profile which resets every time it starts up. All of my files are still there if I look for them on C:\Documents And Settings, but they never actually load up. The only reason I can think of that might of caused this was about 2 weeks ago someone put a password on another account, but I have no idea why that would affect mine.
I already tried removing the password on the other account but no matter what I still get the error, and I really don't want to make a new account. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Or does anyone know what caused it or how to fix it? I did try system restore but it didn't fix the account.
