Default Alternatives to DVD Decryptor (not illegal use)

Okay so I just got a DVD burner for Christmas and I wanted to backup some of my DVDs. I know right now that pretty much all DVDs work with DVD Decryptor, but now that the program is no longer being made, are there any good alternatives that produce the same, if not better results, but will also be updated to work with future DVDs?

what are you doing man?

people who commit piracy should at least use their brain and figure out how to do it themselves

if DVD Decrypter works though, why not go and find it?

Did you not read the post? I said it's not for illegal use. I'm backing up DVDs that I already own. Anyways if anyone can actually help me that would be much appreciated!

Stop using Windows XP and switch to Mac OS X. A hell of a lot easier to rip DVDs on that.

Even though development on DVD decrypter has stopped, doesn't mean it sucks.. I still use it, and it's perfect.

While I do fully agree with you there it seems a new method of encryption is starting to come around that DVD Decryptor can't get past. I'm pretty sure brand new DVDs like Wedding Crashers don't work with DVD Decryptor, so you'll probably eventually (sooner than later) have to find something new.
