Default Broadband ADSL -> Cable

I currently have a 1meg ADSL connection with BT and it is shared across 4 computers through the netgear dg834g router. Next friday I am getting Telewest's 4meg service installed but them being cable I'm thinking I need a new router.

My current router: http://www.netgear.com/products/details/DG834G.php

Now I know that cable doesn't come through your regular phone line it comes through a coaxial cable meaning that it plugs into a modem first. Is there any way I'll I be able to plug the modem into the socket that is on my router? I think that the modem that Telewest supplies has only an ethernet port and a usb port.

I understand that it wouldn't be possible to have a cable that simply converts the signals as there needs to be some sort of driver informing each peripheral how to communicate with each other. Also I cannot just use the ethernet port on the routers as they are all used up (all 4 computers are wired - I'm not using the wireless at the moment except with my PSP), even if that did work.

Is there any way I can get around this by keeping my router or will I have to buy a new one?
If so is there any you would recommend?

Thanks in advance

yeah you'll either need to unplug one of the pcs or get a router with more ports.

If your just switching from DSL to Cable. just remove the DSL modem and replace it with the cable modem.

The router that I use has a built in modem so there was no need to have a seperate one. Seems like I'll have to buy another router then...

Thanks for the help anyway guys.
