Ok I got a virus or something that has my computer under remote control, it has acces to my hard drive!!! Can anyone please help me this is urgent! Does anybody know how i can get rid of this?

Disconnect your PC from the Internet to start off. Hopefully you have tools such as a virus scanner, spyware remover, etc.. that will help you track down any offending files.

I have an adware scanner but it didnt remove everything. I dont have a virus scanner do u know of any trials or something to use just for this time. Im definately gonna buy a virus scanner but this is eating my computer as I type.

Flatline, reformat, and rebuild. That's the only way to be sure you get rid of everything.
This is why external drives and good backup procedures should be practiced not only at work but at home as well.

1. Flatline: slap in a bootable floppy and run a good low-level zeroing tool on it.
2. Reformat: Reformat it using a Windows XP install CD to NTFS
3. Rebuild: Reinstall the entire OS again, keeping it COMPLETELY offline until AFTER you've patched it with a good CD full of patches or you are completely behind a damn good hardware firewall on a non-routable IP range (i.e. 192.168.x.x) so that you can immediately go to windowsupdate.com and no where else until fully patched.

Dude, you're screwed until you do the big three.

How can you not have a av app. I used to use norton but i found it was sh|t now i use Kaspersky

i highly recommend AVG free its the best free virus scanner there is ......i use AVG free, spybot S&D....ad aware SE....stinger.....mcaffe firewall.....i havent had a virus in over a year :icon_wink :icon_wink

i use avg free to its awsome but one bad thing about it is i have about 500 viruses but they are liek the viruses that dont affect me lol.
