My computer is acting very strange. When I try to boot, my compter tower beeps continuiously, not one long beep, but it beeps repeaetidly. I have an HP with a pheonix bios (I believe) and I'm running Windows XP. Nothing is showing up on my moniter, and I already unplugged all unneccesary USB devices and took all of the cards out of my PCI slots. I'm trying to avoid getting professional help, because of the fact that I don't have much money. Help is greatly appreciated.

I'm posting on another computer, but I have not backup moniter. My speakers are built into my moniter and I don't understand what you're saying about the graphics card. I tried even unplugging my hard drive to boot, but still have the problem. I tried pressing some of the F keys, but unfortunately, nothing happened. It can't be my power supply, because my fans are working and my keyboard lights up when I start the computer.
EDIT: When I press F1, the beeping stops, but nothing happens. Last edited by ImBoReDx14; 02-07-2006 at 01:57 PM.. |

Sounds like a problem with your motherboard , many short beeps - seems to be the RAM.
Look into your Motherboard Manual , there should be explains for every beep.

Probably something wrong with your motherboard , try to exchange the RAM.

The same thing happened to my old computer.
Probably caused by overvoltage.
