You have a router so make sure if its wireless or your on wireless to put a WPA key on it to stop other ppl from using your service. Also make sure if you have the dsl line filters on the wire between your modem and the line in the wall. Besides that check your pc with TuneUp Utilities for anything with your registry. Also use Spybot and adawre for any spyware problems. For me i had my connection drop every 12 hr or so, idk why but it stopped after i removed norton.

The only thing I can think of is viruses or spyware/adware. Google avast anti-virus, it's quite good. Also Microsoft Antispyware (Beta) isn't too shabby. Try that, and if you still have problems post back.

Try updating your router's firmware. I used to have the same problem whenever there was bad weather.
