Reformat your drive, and reinstall your operating system.

ok, when you hit the power button, what happens? Does nothing react? Because if thats the case, then it quite possible youre battery fried. if you can plug it in without a battery inserted, try that. If it still doesnt work, then the power to motherboard connection is rather loose or disconnected. If none of those are the problem, its quite possible that various parts of your computer could be fried (probably the motherboard.) if the processor of RAM is fried, then the computer would give a series of beeps when turned on.

Hope that helps

then, go with the other suggestion. A necessary file in Windows most likely becasme corrrupt, from shutting down improperly of something else. Just format the drive and reinstall windows.

Sounds like you got Blastered.
Reformat and reinstall the OS.
Or better yet, throw it out the window and buy a Mac instead.
While you're at it, trim down that annoyingly long signature.

Whats your opinion on the macs iball? Go with intel or stay with the G5? My main concern is opening the doors for viruses if I convert to the intel chips.

Yeah, its been in the news for about a year, and just recently became available o the public. An x86 compatible version of Mac is now available (on bitt0rrent) as well. I personally dont use bitt0rrent, Im looking for a legit way to get hold of it.

So if its on Bittorrent then its just software them, so there is an x86 Mac OS now.

What is different than the normal Mac OS, I assume most PC apps can now be run alot easier?

Not really in touch with Macs so forgive me.

Is it still not working Tommie? I would suggest starting the computer with a windows xp cd in your primary cd drive. It will then boot from the cd. There should be an option like repair or something. Select repair and it will check you HD for windows files, and replace any that are missing. If you don't have a windows xp cd, just borrow one off a friend or relative.

Macs run on a completely different system than PC. Its system is pretty much optimized for Photoshop, 3d modelling, and A/V production. Its a completely different system there mate. Linux and Windows at tleast have SOMETHING in common. Unix based system. Intel chips (although hats mac now as well)

Excuse me if Im rambling again.

You just boot your computer with the cd in your primary cd drive, and your computer will attempt to boot from the cd. That is if you have your cd drive as the first thing to boot. If not you need to go into the BIOS and change it so that it is.
