hello, im the guy who is always asking about alienware and would love responses to my questions. find it in your heart not to flame, no matter how stupid my questions may get.
you see, i want to get a laptop that will replace my crappy desktop, and with such great performance that i wont have to upgrade throughout my college career, perhaps even longer. and when i do need more performance i can buy a simple upgrade without having to buy a new computer all together. this is why i've turned to alienware over all others. if you have suggestions other than what i've chosen, fell free to let me know what you recommend!
on with my questions:
i like my computer nice and clean... and without crap sticking out of the pcmcia slot. do adapter cards stick out?
im also confused about the motherboard, it only has one pcmcia slot to give, yet the sound card is: Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 ZS PCMCIA, the bluetooth card they offer is a belkin Bluetooth* PCMCIA Type II Adapter, and the wireless LAN can be internal or another pcmcia card. do all of these cards stick out? do i have to interchange them each time i wanna use them?
and about the wireless LAN, alienware offers Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915 a/b/g Wireless Card for laptops other than the one that i want. why cont they have them for the area-51 series?
another thing, th emotherboard says it has room for 4GB of ram, but alienware only offer up to 3GB, why is that?
im sure i will have more questions but i appriciate what your guys can do for me. check out alienwares stuff at http://www.alienware.com/
