HELP: Wireless connection not working

So my wireless connection isn't working, it just shows an exclamation point next to the symbol and say "limited or no connectivity" under status. Mysticales though that it was a problem with the IP or something, and tried to explain to me how to fix it, but i'm not very good w/ computers. Could someone please explain it to me in an easy step-by-step fasion?

Already tried twice. It always stops halfwaythrough on "renewing your IP address"

Yeh, but i get to the last step, and i don't have a USB flash drive, and my computer is wirelessly connected to the printer using the network, so i can't print the stuff that it wants me to.

at the last step click i dont need to run the wizard on any other computers or whatever it says thats like that.

Just unplug the router for about 10 seconds, that usually works with my wireless network.

throw it out the window, then while its on the floor outside take a leak on it then spin around 3 times. shout out "spartan sucks iballs" and then plug it all back in. The pc shouldn't turn on after that but at least you've solved the problem of it not connecting.

Ok open network Connections on your PC.
Right click wireless network
click properties
click the tcp/ip
click properties

Now youll see the IP and DNS settings
Set your IP to like 192.168.1.116
Gateway - 192.168.1.1
Dns 1 - 192.168.1.1
Dns 2 - leave blank
Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0

Then hit ok, that should solve it after a reboot.

Ugh, i did all of that, and now everything appears to be working, yet the wireless connection still doesn't work.

Does your PC now work onling using wifi since you did that change? I mean you should try it with the DS to manually setting it up but using a different ip like 192.168.1.118

Try this:

Go to My Computer>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services

When you get there scroll down until you see Wireless Zero Config. and restart it. Usually works for me at school.

Nope, still not working.

Oh and mysticales, it appears like everything works properly, like it says connected, and excellent signal strength, but it doesn't work, or on my DS. And i reall really want my connection now because i have Metroid Prime Hunters.

open up command prompt type in "ipconfig" without the brackets. and it will tell you a bunch of different #s one of them says defualt gateway and there will be a # there type that number into your address bar in your browser. then in your router homepage open wireless settings and where it says encryption type it should say something like "wep" in order to get DS to work it has to be set to WEP-Shared"

The number next to the defaukt gateway under wireless connection? That's what i typed in. there's also the wireless network ip adress though.
