wtf torrents for me go like 1kb/s

limewire goes 20+kb/sec.....

when a lto fo poeple are shareing the file it goes a lot faster even more than a 1000 some time s

Well, you also have to open up your ports and allow it through your router and firewall.

My torrents average out to be around 300-400+ kBps.

I don't use limewire so I wouldn't know my speeds on there.

ill stay with limewire....

in one week utorrent dled 4.5 megabytes

in 3 hrs limewire dled 300 megabytes...

but there are a lot more files show and other ilegal stuff on torrents what where you downloading

but limewire was net for music and not video and other stuff

i use warez i got aorund 700 songs 50 pc games 100 videos (most of them movies and southpark episodes) i dont really know how to use torrent lol.

Limewire gets the job done for music, but they don't have much else.

Torrents are faster for HUGE files that are POPULAR and have lots of seeders.
P2P apps like Crimewire are useful for those one-off 5-10MB MP3 and small ROM files.

Bit torrent is faster than limewire provided you have set up all the ports correctly. Both are in RIAA and MPAA focus so I predict a lot more torrent sites shutting down
I use newsgroups, I get constant speeds of about 300kb/s all the time for any file. There is no uploading so it's technically not illegal in the UK.

It's also one of the few places I can get decent music in .flac lossless format instead of crappy 128kbps mp3s
