isent holographic storage somthing that can hold 300 gb or somthing other than that we have no idea how much it will cost or even if any move stuidos will support it

so right now all we can do is sit and wait still one will rain or get beathen by a undergod formate

It's 3 TB......which is f**king huge..but then that has the most likely chance of failing. Because people tend to forget what it's called...or even know it exists..

you are aware this kind of storage.. will be much more expensive (PER DISC) then DVD, HD DVD, and blu-ray..

Scratching, dropping, losing one of these would most definitely suck.

why cant those tapes die? cant randomly access data anyway.

I think HD-DVD will survive for a while, but fast broadband will kill it.
