Default Cli.exe Problem

Ok... here we go, i have a ati radieon x1600 xt and the catalyst manager is givin me problems, every time i turn on my computer, it gives me a error about the CLI.Exe, and everything on the screen goes away except te backround, so basically my comp is useless, what can i do?

Boot in Safe-Mode if that does not work, try removing your Graphics Card, see if that is the issue, if it is, then you probobly have a driver error, try updating or reinstalling the drivers.

try using the fix option of a windows disc... not the first time it asks... the second time windows just reinstalls your drivers and stuff and dosent touch the data of yours

:-/ i was installing windows on multiple hard drives connected to my computer via usb and windows thought that one of those hard drives is the main one that it boots from but they were later disconnected... i used that repair option and it reinstalled the files to MY harddrive and my data was there

my advice is to completly remove the driver and catalyst control centre. look for something called the ati driver removal tool, this will remove all traces of ATi from your PC. Then reboot and windows will use the generic VGA driver. Then get catalyst control centre from here (assuming you have windows xp that driver will work). Install it, reboot and it should work.
