When I bought the limited edition of Prey, it came with a free soundtrack download from DirectSong. So I download it, then I find out it's in WMA. I HATE WMA. I've tried converting it, but can't because of the DRM protection. So, is there any way to remove the protection, or a converter that will just bypass it and let me convert it to MP3?

IIRC there's one called like mp3 workshop or mp3 tools and once its installed you just right click on audio files and it gives you a bunch of extra options like converting.

Hmmm...I use Audio Hijack Pro to do all that. Makes a perfect recording of anything being played on the computer.
But it may be OS X only still though.

As with almost all kinds of recordings (Line-In, Microphone) I use Audacity. I know what you're going through with DRM. I just got David Gray's 'Life in Slow Motion' and the 'effin disc won't let me copy it to MP3 with any program I choose (that even includes the mighty AudioGrabber). So, I just did a 'Wave Out' recording using Audacity and played the CD. It's just as good as ripping as far as I can tell (believe me, I am a bit of an audiophile) and you have the option to export the recording to either .wav, .ogg, or .mp3. In your case just play the .wma files back and record from 'Wave Out' source. It takes a while, but it works.
