Well, I have windows, but I'm really hating it. I really want a Mac..

No crashing, no viruses, no spyware, now slowdowns, no bull****. Awesome.

I like windwos because I like to play games. I know that Mac can duel boot Windows and play games but whats the point of me getting this if I'm just going to in windows mode all the time to play games and use a couple of other programs(basiclly ventrillo,msn,n64 emu, and firefox).

Windows on my main PC for gaming. It has never crashed even once since I have built it except when I was finding my overclocking limits. Never had any virus, spyware or nothing. Let's me do everything I want to. People who get crashes all the time when using it for normal desktop use (I understand the servers and tablets are crap, so is media edition) should

I use Linux for my HTPC since MythTV is awesome and amaroK is also awesome.

Never felt the need for a Mac but I'm sure it's good for some people.

I use Linux, it runs well on my computer, and as a nice feel to it, as well as being stable.

I like to put it this way: If it weren't for Windows, I wouldn't be interested in computers at all. I am currently learning Linux and I will eventually learn to speak Mac, but I will never forget my roots.

HTPCs are PCs that are specifically designed to play media on your TV and ROMs too.
I've got mine to run with complete silence, with a few fan controls to turn on the fans if it gets hot. Both the processor and graphics card are passivley cooled.
It can do PVR without any monthly fee and gets all the program details from the internet.
MythTV let's me use all my features seamlessly. It also has web based control. If I'm away and I forget to record something, I can use my PSP to go onto the internet and tell MythTV what to record.
Right now it can't do true HD since I'm waiting for the new bunch of cards to support HDMI. As soon as it does that, I'll stick a blu-ray/HD-DVD drive in there and it will be perfect.

More info here http://www.mythtv.org/modules.php?name=MythFeatures

Yea me, too. You can have like 100 programs open, so much that it takes a very long time to switch windows/workspaces, but it still never crashes. I love it, I use it for my graphic designing, too. In The GIMP.
