Default for those of u with a DELL

i want to completely start over with my dell laptop (completely erase everything, and start fresh)

i think to do this, i need to use the program PC RESTORE?

where can i find it?

You should use Linux if you want to not have problems with spyware and junk.

does anyone know where i can access DELL PC RESTORE?

i heard somewhere that i am supposed to press CTRL+F11 when booting up?

Yeah, it's pretty standard.
When starting your computer tap F11 repeatedly.
I reformat the harddrive && erase it to default standards once every 3 months.

Just formate it

boot with a windows xp cd
wait for it to scan your hardware
push f8
when it show you do you wana install xp push esc
formate the drive you want and leave the computer alone it will insall windows
then install the sound card the earthnet card and crap like that and you should be all set

PC RESTORE?

My dad has a dell laptop, he has windows re-install (it wipes the hard drive).

Anyway, F2 is Bios, F10 (or is it F11 or F12?) is boot menu. When the dell screen pops up, it will tell you if it's F10,11, or 12, press the key you want then.
Hardrive is offline

well, my windows reinstall CD only says that it will reinstall windows XP, and keep data files intact
