im getting a big screen tv soon and i want to stream movies from my PC to my tv and i read an article about xbox media center.

how does it work? does it run on wired network or wirelss? what file types does it support? and how much would a complete package to get xbox with xbmc cost?

xbmc is the best media player(in my opinion) it plays all media types
you would need a modded xbox, which varies in price, depending on if you can mod it yourself
it runs on wired network and videos can be burned onto cds or dvds in data format

if you dont want to mod it, you need a windows media center pc

Maybe for the xbox360 but I think hes talking about for the xbox. I use mine daily its an awsome app. If your like me and download all your shows, you won't even have to unzip/unrar your files.
