This is a discussion on Question within the Everything Windows forums, part of the General PC Forums category; If I install linux, and find it too hard to understand, or just dont want it, can i uninstall it ...

If I install linux, and find it too hard to understand, or just dont want it, can i uninstall it and go back to windows?

Yeah, back up your data though. I would suggest dual booting, that way you have Windows and Linux.

From what I know of Linux, all you do is stick your Windows CD in and reinstall windows and bye bye Linux.

That's always a hassel, if you feel like you may not understand it, you should probably do a dual boot and give the Linux partition like 20gb. That way you could always go back to Windows, remove the partition and re-balance it out. And if you don't 20gb is a good start anyways.

u can resize the windows partition and install linux... OR dl a live cd.. i suggest ubuntu as its pretty much for noob linux users. ur gonna have to learn some basic unix tho
