This is a discussion on Windows - Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low within the Everything Windows forums, part of the General PC Forums category; Hey everybody, this popped up not too long ago. The error is in the pic below, how do I fix ...
Increase your virtual memory :)
Right click on my computer, click properties.
Click the advance tab, then click on the settings button under performance.
Click the advance tab, then click on 'change' under the virtual memory section. Change them to 0 first and then restart your PC. This is to clear out the virtual memory.
When your PC comes on again, change it to around 2-3Gb. If you have 2 hard drives, it is better to put the virtual memory on the hard drive where the OS is NOT located since it improves performance slightly.
Thanks! I set the intial memory to 2048, and the max to 3060. You should be VIP for the comp section, you do know a lot! :)Originally Posted by PopeOfDope
If it was initially 2048 and you were getting errors I think maybe you should consider getting more RAM. How much RAM do you have now?
Also Firefox can be a huge memory hog sometimes too. If you have many extensions, try disabling the ones you don't need. You could also try the Firefox beta (Bon Echo) which is much more memory efficient.
I had to increase my virutal memory for Guild Wars, it was lagging like a cheap whore.
