Hey everyone,

I wanted to know how I could get rid of this critical system error! It is an icon on the taskbar menu on right bottom side and what it does is oscillate between "?" and "X", looks sort of like the DXDIAG icon. Anyways it keeps telling me that there are virus activities! I have run all antivirus I have, all AntiSpyware and adaware! I have found nothing that will shut it off! Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it please! Thanks!

That itself sounds like a virus. Are you running Windows?

Yes I am! Why is it some kind of glitch in the system?

EDIT: I forgot to add that when I click on it, it takes me to a website for an anti virus product called virus burst! Although I have my suspicions that maybe the site may have sent me more viruses!

The whole program in itself is spyware or a virus

Un-Install it if you can and then download 'Spybot Search & Destroy' and 'Ad-Aware' and install them and scan.

Then for the virus side of things if you want a freebie download 'AVG Antivirus'

But I have an issue I am unaware what program it is., as in it does not show up anyware, in my add/remove programs or my registry!

It might be a rootkit. Download rootkit revealer to check.

Campbell I never said that it was virus burst it only links me to that website! I will try that but I doubt it since I have run through the registry and have deleted all virus burst registers!

You will have to remove it by hand. Here's a guide.

DO NOT download the "free spyware scanner tool" from that site. It's ANOTHER spyware program.

try hitman pro (it runs all the best free virus removers) to get rid of the rest of the stuff (since ur gonna remove virus blast by hand)
