I was visiting Scan.co.uk to see if any of there prices had drops and I saw
this . The GeForce 8800 Graphics Cards, which support DirectX 10.The cheaper versions arent in stock yet but the more expensive ones are. They are a bit out of my price bracket, but I thought I should tell you guys.

No real point in getting them now, Vista isn't even out yet and no games have an absolute requirement for DX10 yet. Also I heared there were a few cards affected that would make these cards stop working when switching from 2D/3D. Apparently this only affected a few cards.
I'm personally waiting for ATI cards to come out then I'll look at benchmarks. ATI will probably dominate the high end but I'm looking for a sweet spot solution, like the 7600GT was this generation and the 6600GT before it. Oh and I love Scan.co.uk , probably the best PC parts retailer in the UK. |
