I ripped music from a CD that I own to put it on my PSP...

This is a discussion on I ripped music from a CD that I own to put it on my PSP... within the Everything Windows forums, part of the General PC Forums category; and it's copy-protected. I ripped with WMP with no copy protection, but it still retains it. It's some German CD ...

and it's copy-protected. I ripped with WMP with no copy protection, but it still retains it. It's some German CD with that choir stuff, and I really want it on my PSP. Any ideas how to fix?

BTW: I OWN this CD, I did NOT pirate!

I know, it's soooooo stupid. I want to put Scrubs season 3 and 4 on my Creative Zen Vision: M, but I can't because it's freaking protected. And I spent 60 bucks on the 2 of them ,too.

Any sound recording program.
Windows movie maker can do it, you choose the audio input source on narration as 'Stereo Mix'.

Open the tracks with GoldWave, then go to 'File->Save As', then select .mp3. Once you do that you can then click the blue text that says 'Attributes'. Under MPEG settings, untick the box that says 'Copywrite'.

Enjoy

Use Slysoft AnyDVD. It removes all region and copy protection from your drive.

Ok, from what I understand: when you rip in WMP, make sure the "copy-protected my music" button is NOT checked. Otherwise, re-rip with any other software (RealPlayer, ffmpeg, Nero, etc).
