I use azareus.

There's loads of them out there it's up to you to decide which one you like. Everyone has different preferences. It's impossible to say which is best because that is down to opinion. I would say Azareus is best for me, but that doesn't mean it is the best for you.

Back before I had invested in newsgroups, I used torrentflux. This is not for everybody however.

I had a very old PC so I passivley cooled it, gave it a bigger hard drive, installed linux and put torrentflux on it.

I could remotely admistrate it via a web browser and download loads of torrents. It had a low power consumption and I left it on all the time.

Once the dowloads had finished, I could access it on my PC across a network.

Now you can use something like uTorrent + webUI + the firefox extension to get similar functionality.

I use that as well. Something I really don't recommend cause this thing VIRUS RIDDEN. Better have anti-virus protection. But I have to use it because my school's network blocks other torrent applications. I get a NAT error when I use Azureus.
