What size of RAM do you have? That accounts for just as much as processing power.

You'll want to find out what expansion ports your PC has first, so that you can look into graphics cards that will work with your PC. You can do this by searching for specifications of your PC online and checking for an AGP or PCIe slot, or by opening up your PC and physically looking. There are also some programs that can figure this out for you but accuracy can not be guaranteed.

just unscrew one side of your PC's case and look to see if you have a card slot that is brown above a few white ones, thats AGP

You can have 2x512mb RAM if you have 2 Memory banks.

your reported "533mhz" is your FSB, this is then multiplied to give a processor speed of 2666mhz.

The 533mhz refers to the speed your RAM runs at. You should try and buy RAM at this speed and it will be DDR2 memory. If your PC currently has 1 512MB stick then just get another 512MB stick otherwise its upto whether to go 2x512MB or 1X1GB. Buying two sticks of 512MB will allow your PC to run it in dual channel mode for greater performance but 1GB gives better upgrade options, still if prices are similar I'd probably go with the 2X512MB in your case.

Go to Imageshack. Upload it, but don't resize it. Get the link for the image, and post that here.

Erm. Dude.
  1. Bring up what you want to take a picture of on the screen.
  2. Look on your keyboard, above the arrow keys.
  3. There should be a button that says "PrtScrn" or similar.
  4. Press it
  5. Take your finger off the key
  6. Put your hand on your mouse
  7. Move it, until the little arrow on the screen is on the button in the bottom left that says "Start"
  8. Push down with your index finger
  9. Release your index finger
  10. A menu should now have popped out. Move about, pausing on an item for its menu to open.
  11. Keep doing this until you get to "Accessories"
  12. Find "Paint" inside "Accessories"
  13. Click the icon that says "Paint"
  14. Press the button on your keyboard, below shift, on the left hand side, that says "CTRL"
  15. Press "V" on your keyboard
  16. Release both buttons
  17. Look around on the top bar of "Paint" for a button that says "File"
  18. Move the arrow onto it, as described how to in points 6-9, replacing the word "Start" with "File"
  19. Click it
  20. Look down for the item "Save As..."
  21. Save it to your desktop
  22. Do as mentioned before with the imageshack process, but this time with the picture you just made
Congratulations! You've taken and uploaded a screenshot!

We need a little more than that to determin what type of RAM you need. go to where info about your current ram is displayed and press ALT+prt scr (Print screen)

Open up MS paint and paste the picture. Upload that image to imageshack

And to Brain_Stew: Sorry mate, I was right, It was the FSB.

EDIT: Siouxsie beat me to the screenshot tut, and his is better
